We are incredibly excited to announce that we made history on Saturday, October 12! We planted 3,120+ native plants and trees at the Paramount Ranch, making it the biggest single planting event in the history of the Santa Monica Mountains.
Here is a nice writeup in the Malibu Times on the event: http://www.malibutimes.com/malibu_life/article_856654fa-f41c-11e9-9d9e-d3ce5652886e.html
Clarins, and the Malibu Foundation were host to a record breaking day for tree planting, leading an amazing community effort to rebuild Malibu as well as fight climate change.

In the spirit of rebuilding, healing, and restoring the mountain, the day featured many energetic activities that both adults and kids enjoyed! Children could get their faces or arms painted with fun and colorful designs to get ready to throw their seed bombs!
Adjacent to the seed bomb, and the face painting stations, volunteers could visit an ex-Hollywood animal actor Red-Tailed Hawk. The hawk would even stand on the head of a few lucky volunteers who were brave enough. The energy of the event charged volunteers to plant from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM when the sun started to set.

The volunteer stations featured seed-bomb stations where volunteers could choose out of six different varieties of native plants. These would become an incredibly popular attraction for the day, hosting kids, families, and couples.
Throwing seed bombs is proven to be a fun and efficient way of replanting native flora.
The National Park Service and Mountains Restoration Trust teams led groups of volunteers into the mountain to plant young trees and plants. These hard working leaders led volunteers in groups of 10 to restore sites.

We had incredibly talented artists who performed the day away, energizing the volunteers and revitalizing Paramount Ranch with their music.
Artists from all walks of genres came together to spread the joy, including Malibu natives Brandon Jenner and Trinity Rose, the incredible Raspberry Lemonade, and the world famous Echosmith.
